Macao Memories Revealed Exhibition

The photos in this exhibition, taken by a Portuguese photographer - Mr. Jose Neves Catela, reveal the city scenes, people's daily activities, customs, transportation and gambling practices of the Macao society in 1920s and 1930s. Mr. Catela came first to Macao in 1925 and worked for 26 years as a press photographer and captured the precious cultural heritage of the people of Macao. He died in 1951 in Macao - the land which he loved.
